Perthshire Photography Holiday Breaks

This year we are offering tailored photography breaks. Tutoring these holiday breaks is Jo Cound a leading photographer in her field, Jo has a phenomenal amount of experience and can see something to photograph in every situation from landscapes and macro to micro! Being situated in stunning local scenery there are plenty of subjects to inspire you.

Jo will cover the basic controls and functions of your camera, composition and exposure. Jo will help Familiarise you with your camera so that you can be more confident in expressing yourself through your photographs. After covering the technical side of the camera to suite your requirements over coffee, we will go out into the landscape to put the theory into practice.

You can then take images out in the field with hands on advice, helping you to capture your images with consideration, looking at metering the light and composition.

The following morning will be spent looking at your shots from the day before with a chance to get feedback on the results. For longer stays a section of prints can be made to have a more in-depth look at the results. Individual and group tutorials available.

If you wish to bring a laptop with Adobe Photoshop, training would be available. If you do bring your laptop don’t forget the cables.

What you need to bring

Camera, instruction book, clear memory card(s), USB lead or Card Reader for downloading tripod, any accessories.
We will spend time out on location therefore depending on the weather some sites can be a wee bit muddy so comfortable footwear for walking and wet weather gear – just in case!

Group size

Groups are anything from 2 to 6 which will ensure that you get all the attention you need from Jo.

How the holidays work

Because we know you like to create a break that fulfils your requirements for learning we will discuss at the time of booking what you need and want to be included in the tuition.
We will do our best to accommodate the budget you have set aside for your break. Prices start from £500 based on two people for two nights bed and breakfast and two days of tuition and all the tea, coffee and biscuits you need!

What we need from you are details of what you’d like to learn and get from the tuition and we’ll tailor the break to your requirements as far as we possibly can. We can set aside time for group tutorials and also for one-to-one sessions with Jo. We can focus on a specific subject matter. The only caveat is that the whole group be it 2 or 6 people need to have the same goal.
